Sunday, May 11, 2014    This morning, 4 am, I woke up to the sound of gentle rain. Fresh coffee, a not too cool breeze and the fresh smell of rain on one's front porch is very tranquil. Thursday, May 8, 2014    Sorry for the delay. Internet and mechanical brake downs this week.     Very active week on Kure Pier. Tuesday many fishermen stopping in getting the "White Got-Cha Plug # G107-GH". The smell of fish was strong in our shop. Local fisherman did real good fishing in "Snows Cut". This past Sunday he caught Seven Flounder, 3 Black Sea Bass and two Bluefish. The three inch silver Clarkspoon was his choice of tackle. Stay Tuned!  Local Tides, Gas Price $3.70 and up!

Friday April 25, 2014     Well folks I'm glad to be back!! Website modifications have been very expensive as we learn to update to from a great working technology to a better development system CSS 5 HTML, ... so they say. Virginia Mullets have been caught over the past month. South of Fort Fisher, Red Drum are showing up in the bay. Yesterday a 16 inch shrimp-eating Pompano mystified a fisherman from upstate. Shrimp, our cost, went up 65 cents per pound over the winter, Bloodworms  prices jumped up, SRP $13 - $16 per dozen. Ice with light snow keep many of us wrapped up this past winter.
